GARGANTUAN UPDATE - Biggest One Yet, 8 Endings and Much More!
This one has been in the works for awhile, but I am VERY pleased to present the biggest update to Catalyst: Blind Faith yet! This contains a PLETHORA of new content, all 8 endings for the demo, several major features, and more goodies than you can shake a stick at. The following isn't even a complete list of every tweak and adjustment made, but it's pretty dang thorough:
- 11 new songs
- 5 new SFX
- New cursors (idle and hover) (made just for Blind Faith!)
- 2 new ctc images
- 8 new CGs
- Placeholders for 2 other images
- Secret unlockable feature added to gallery!
- 8 Endings added!
- 8 unique ending screens which will display in the gallery once unlocked
- 8 collectible badges for completing each ending which will display on the main menu once unlocked
- Added new content warning with optional toggle for extreme content. (This grays out the choices containing aforementioned extreme content, disabling the option to click on them, and thereby disabling the ability to access that content.)
- Added seizure warning screen (no toggle yet, but I will be implementing a toggle to disable screen shake and flashing red screens in future updates.)
- Normalized all music volume
- Adjusted volume and fades for SFX and music tracks for smoother transitions (for over 60+ audio tracks!)
- Secret menu created (a more robust version will be made before the demo is finalized code-wise. Visually speaking, this is complete!)
- Desktop exe icon added for Windows, Linux and Mac
- Compass rose added to the first map
- Inventory page in the Journal menu brought up-to-date (counts for rations and torches are working correctly)
- New Social Contacts entry in the Journal menu (with new sketch!)
- New entries for the Gods page in the Journal menu (unlockable content)
- Gods tab in the Journal menu given a new page (unlockable content)
- Page buttons added to the Journal (unlockable content)
- Updates for every contingency in the Notes leftmost page of the Journal menu
- Maps pages all programmed, placeholder image in use until next update
- 20k+ words written, coded, and tested
- Clarifications/revisions to previous scenes (also thanks to the amazing help of several pre-alpha testers!)
- Narrator’s/MC's name added, changes color when invoking each God (in future updates, his name will change hue based on the highest God relationship stat! This is a major features planned and will be out in the next big update.)
Needless to say, this update has been a labor of love. I have several big features I still would like to add into this demo as it approaches completion, including the aforementioned color-changing name for the protagonist, more transparency for the Gods page of the Journal (so that entries have pop-ups which describe the protag's relationship with them in more detail when moused over), and accessibility features. There is also going to be the undertaking of getting the final art and music for the game, as the art and music are still currently placeholders.

Edit: Those of you who got the demo right when it came out may have a bug-testing screen in the last screen of the game, which displays the variables you have obtained for several of the routes. This was accidentally left in, but has been removed with a hotfix. If you're still seeing that screen, please feel free to download the most recent version of the game, in which that screen has been omitted!
